The Wilds Hunt

A visitor once asked Alric Vexley how he survived in his cabin in the woods, while everyone else huddles in Thimblecross under the watchful eye of Ellie Blythe's gargoyle wardens. Alric's response was "Know when you're hunting and when you're hunted."

Alric doesn't smile, or speak much, but he seems to stay for the hunting.

Some folks are comforted, knowing there's a man out there, surviving the monsters and mysteries that teem in the woods between Thimblecross and Harrow Castle. Some tell tales of Alric stalking the things that go bump in the night. The way some tales run, he is the thing that goes bump in the night.

One thing is for sure, the rats don't act up when Alric Vexley is around.
