Deck-Building Meets Storytelling: How Encounters Shape Jolly Good

I love a good deck-building RPG. I've spent way too many hours playing Slay the Spire. However, crude battles are not Jolly's style. Don't get me wrong, he's still a murderous scarecrow with a penchant for malapropisms and theatrical flair, but he's more of tinkerer than a fighter.
So I decided to spice up the Jolly Good visual novel with an RPG, deck-building game, I focused on problem solving over fighting.
